Re. Ogbonna..... yeah, I couldn't believe it with 10 mins to go and Ogbonna was the furthest man up the pitch!

I was going to point that out as well davey.... at least KIA is man enough to hold his hands up.... hopefully he will be slower to ridicule in future ;)

Happy to hold my hands up and say I was wrong, he'd not done it before, it was a risk that worked superbly although the way we play/played is pretty fluid. In particular with Agbonna who pushed up in particular in the 2nd half.

ag ! ag !

Yes, the tactic is for 11 or 10 outfield players to form a human pyramid in the goal and rely on rebounds.

Loads of crosses went in the box v Sunderland with no one challenging for them, easy to defend.

I'd start Carroll, we need to get at them right from the off.

from yesterday? ClaretandHugh are hearing as yet unconfirmed reports that Victor Moses picked up a knock in training today and is now a doubt for tomorrow’s London derby against Spurs

I see the "avoid slow start" mantra being spouted by many. I have long maintained that it is our lack of collective mobility in midfield and upfront that causes this and not any tendency to "cruise" in teh first 30 mins. Since our early season issues with Leicester and Bournemouth, teams worked out that the high pressing, and closing game works well against us. Deny us space and time and we struggle in midfield because we do not play at a high tempo and probably lack enough good technical players to do that (passing accuracy at speed etc.). We like to build up more slowly and get our full backs overlapping or break from midfield via Payet, Kouyate and Lanzini or Moses. We play more direct than a lot of teams too through the channels.

Spurs are built around the high pressing game and we struggle with it. Teams that go ahead against us using it then naturally stand off us a little and inevitably we start to get a foothold in teh game.

Bilic has to have us employing a similar tactic IMO. Let them have the ball if needs be and we may have no choice but force them into errors. and break on them.

For that reason, with Noble out I would have Obiang. SOng and Kouyate to congest the midfield. Give them room and we will be punished IMO.

EddieB - do you know anything about the Noble rumour?

Re: Team Vs Spurs
exwhu on twitter saying that Noble could possibly be out though its not definite by any means and G Dobson is on the bench due to Noble injury as someone posted that a few mins ago on here

I hope that is correct as that's the team I would go for, with or without Moses.

Obiang has been decent at DM and we need three in there to close them down and hit them on the break.
